Around the historic core the streets are narrow, partly pedestrian zones or open to residents only. A moving truck only gets in there with a permit and good planning. We clarify access with the city in advance instead of standing in front of a barrier on the moving day.
Old building stock, narrow stairwells
In the older buildings of the old town, staircases are often narrow, spiral and low. Large wardrobes and sofas often do not fit through. During the survey we check whether something has to be dismantled or worked in through a window.
Slopes and the Ruhr valley
Blankenstein, Rauendahl and the Elfringhauser Schweiz lie considerably higher than the town centre, and the access roads are sometimes steep and narrow. For dates in winter we plan in extra time here.
