Apartment and house moves including carrying support, furniture assembly and a packing service on request.
Learn moreGelsenkirchen grew from two separate centres – Buer in the north and the old town in the south. We move in both, from Schäffle in Ückendorf to the new builds in Resse.
D&E Umzüge works throughout the entire city of Gelsenkirchen – in Buer, Horst, Erle, Schalke, Ückendorf and the surrounding districts. We carry out private and office moves, senior moves, furniture transport, storage as well as clearance and household clear-outs. After a free survey you receive a fixed-price quote.
You either book the complete move or individual parts of it – depending on what you want to take care of yourself.

Learn moreGelsenkirchen is large and very differently built up. In the north around Buer, detached and semi-detached houses with their own driveways dominate, while in the south around Ückendorf and Schalke the landscape is shaped by period apartment buildings – with everything that comes with them: narrow stairwells, high ceilings, no lift.
In Ückendorf, Schalke and the old town many apartments are on the third or fourth floor without a lift, with spiral staircases and narrow landings. Bulky furniture often does not fit through the stairwell. We establish in advance whether a furniture lift saves considerable time on the moving day.
On home match days you have to expect road closures and heavy traffic around the arena and the access roads in the north. We match the moving date against the fixture list and plan the arrival accordingly – a small thing that saves hours when it counts.
There are around twelve kilometres between Buer in the north and Rotthausen in the south. A move within Gelsenkirchen is therefore not automatically a short-distance move. We plan driving times realistically instead of improvising them on the day.
The key factors are the volume of goods, the floor and lift situation, access to the building, the distance between the old and the new address, and additional services such as packing, assembly, storage or a no-parking zone. Instead of flat rates you receive a binding fixed price after the free survey.
Yes, throughout the entire city. The planning does differ though: in Buer direct access is usually possible, while in the south we more often need a no-parking zone and sometimes an external lift.
Yes, we handle the application and put up the signs. As the permit needs lead time, we should know as early as possible – especially in the densely built-up southern districts.
More often in the period-building districts than elsewhere. Whether it is worth it is decided during the survey, based on stairwell width, the turn required and the window size. More often than not the lift is the cheaper option, because the move goes significantly faster.
Yes, regularly. Both routes are short, so the move is usually completed in a single day.
Yes. Anything you are keeping is moved, while the rest is cleared and properly disposed of – the same team, the same date, and the apartment is handed over swept clean.
We are based in Bochum and work throughout the Ruhr area and NRW.
