What does the cleaning service cover?
The cleaning service is the clean that happens after moving out and before handover. It goes considerably beyond broom-clean, meaning beyond simply sweeping the empty rooms, and covers the bathroom, kitchen, windows, doors, fitted cupboards and radiators.
The distinction is decisive at a handover appointment. Broom-clean is the standard included with a move or a clearance. What the landlord actually requires is set out in the tenancy agreement and often goes further, covering limescale, grease film on kitchen fronts or silicone seals.

What is the difference between broom-clean and a final clean?
Broom-clean means the empty rooms have been swept. A final clean additionally covers the bathroom, kitchen, windows, doors, fitted units and radiators. Broom-clean is included with a move, a household clearance and decluttering. Whatever the landlord requires beyond that is set out in the tenancy agreement.
When should the cleaning take place?
After moving out completely and shortly before the handover appointment. Cleaning too early means the rooms get dirty again while things are carried out. The cleaning date is therefore set against the handover.
Are the windows cleaned as well?

Will this get my deposit back?
