What is a temporary no-parking zone?
Special use permit: The legal basis. The municipality permits public space to be used for a limited period - against a fee.
No-stopping zone: The marked section of street. While the period shown on the sign lasts, stopping and parking are prohibited there.

What does a no-parking zone cost?
The municipality charges fees for the special use permit, usually between 100 and 300 euros depending on the authority. Our flat rate for the application, provision, installation and removal of the signs comes on top. You receive everything combined as one fixed price.
How far in advance do I need to apply?
That depends on the municipality. As a rule, one to two weeks before the moving date suffice, but popular dates are allocated quickly. The earlier you give us the date, the more reliably the zone can be arranged.
Do I have to submit the application myself?
No. D&E Umzüge handles the application with the responsible authority, pays the fees and coordinates any queries. You only provide the dates and addresses.
Is a zone possible at both addresses?
Yes. Many moves combine two zones: one at the origin so that loading goes quickly, one at the destination so that unloading starts right away. Each address gets its own application.
Does it also work in narrow old-town streets?
Especially there. Where parking space is scarce, the zone is often the only way to get the vehicle directly to the door. Feasibility is assessed individually with the municipality.
What happens if cars park in the zone anyway?
Our team documents wrongly parked vehicles on site during the preparations. Further measures lie with the municipality or the police enforcement service; towing is initiated via the authority. With an express move this is checked straight away during the enquiry.
How long may the signs remain in place?
Only for the period named in the application, usually from the previous evening until the evening of moving day. Longer periods require justification and cost more. We remove the signs promptly once they are no longer needed.
How much space does a zone need?
As a rule of thumb about ten to fifteen metres per vehicle - more for large lorries, lifting platforms or several vehicles. We calculate the required length when you enquire.
